5) Addressing attitudes, behaviour, attendance and wellbeing.
Our intention should be to teach children and young people to have a love of learning, to want to learn, and to be excited by the learning experience. We want our children and young people to value themselves and others and to recognise the importance and enjoyment in learning for the rest of their lives. The attainment of high standards will be an integral part of this, if children and young people are motivated by the opportunities your school provides and are willing to learn, behave well and attend school.
Through developing a coherent, appropriate and attractive curriculum within the three dimensional model, by looking at the relationship between IQ, EQ and SQ, by understanding behaviour management and identifying realistic wellbeing indicators, 3DI can support you in addressing the key issues of behaviour and attendance in your school. Using the new wellbeing indicators to be implemented in September 2009, we can support you in developing a carefully planned approach to identifying what you are doing with clear outcomes and identified successes for your SEF. |
